Read Aloud Easy ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Read Aloud Easy app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Read Aloud Easy is designed to work on-device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your voice recordings, scanned text, or practice sessions to any external server. All speech recognition and text-to-speech processing is performed locally on your device using Apple's native frameworks (SFSpeechRecognizer and AVSpeechSynthesizer).
Data Stored on Your Device
Your practice session history, scores, accuracy data, and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device unless you use iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We use Apple's App Store analytics for this purpose.
In-App Purchases
Read Aloud Easy offers optional in-app purchases via Apple's StoreKit. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Children's Privacy
Read Aloud Easy is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app processes all data on-device and does not transmit user data externally.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
